Kyocera Company History
Kyocera Corporation started its history in 1959. Today the company has 179 group companies, 83 production sites and approx. 58,500 employees worldwide. During the year ended March 31, 2007, the company's consolidated net sales totaled approximately JPY 1,180 trillion (8.49 billion EURO) with net income of approximately JPY 46 billion (330 million EURO).
In the early seventies, the company ventured into the European market. It has 34 subsidiaries today in the whole Europe, mainly being active in the sales of printers, digital copiers and fine ceramics. Like all of Kyocera's subsidiaries, they are managed with respect for and understanding of the local culture and lifestyle.
